Our business is based upon the concept that collecting, using and displaying antiques and vintage items is not only rewarding in its own right but is a socially responsible undertaking. Throughout the year, collectible and unusual accent pieces including vintage toys, glassware, art, lighting, furniture etc. is the cornerstone of Merry Macs Antiques. From our experience, today's decorator uses a mix of modern and vintage pieces in their plans to create a truly unique space geared to the modern client. Merry Macs Antiques is here to help fill this niche.

Our business , Merry Macs Antiques, (located in the Old Argyle Blacksmith Shop) is derived from the name given to the cottage that has been in our family over three generations.
It was this location that remained a constant in our lives and therefore became the vessel for fifty years of family memories. As such, many life changing ideas, concepts and experiences sprang from the pleasant times spent at the cottage and in the surrounding locales. Merry Macs Antiques therefore seemed a fitting tribute to the source of our inspiration.

The Argyle Blacksmith Shop (featured in the 2006 Doors Open Ontario – Kawartha Lakes) is an historical as well as a significant landmark in the Kawarthas. Cottagers from Simcoe, Balsam, and Cameron Lakes, to name a few of the many (which are part of the Trent Canal Waterway System), pass our doors on a regular basis throughout the seasons. Frequent day trippers out of Toronto are also a common occurrence, since we are only minutes east of Highway 12. We invite you to drop in... talk.. browse... and shop.
